2010 Bentley Mulsanne Debut

2010 Bentley Mulsanne Debut – The newest Bentley has made its official debut at the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance in Monterey, California. The Mulsanne, Bentley’s new flagship grand tourer, is an homage to the 1930 8-litre, becoming the first Bentley since that one to be designed, engineered and crafted from the ground up by Bentley engineers. Bentley offered no details of the powertrain behind this big-bodied beauty and was focused entirely on the historical symmetry between the new car and its ancestor, which shared the stage at the debut. It will go into production next year.

Gone to Brazil for the Day

Jacobsen Architecture created the GR House, in São Paulo, Brazil, which blends naturally into the surrounding gardens with the use of timber and white surfaces.

The architects designed this luxury home to make the most of its restricted space. Using open spaces creates rooms which are bathed in natural light. The contemporary private gardens envelops the home, and creates a sanctuary in a bustling city.

Pop-Up Skate Park by TCH

i would definitly get me one of these

With increasing number of electronic devices intruding apartments as well as offices, we require lots of sockets to plug-in the gadgets, which often mars the decor of the modern residential and work spaces with the web of wires and extension cord. [ Via: designblog]

Up Close and Personal with the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE

I DEFINATLY LIKE THIS ONE MORE THAN THE BUGATTI.....

Though the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano Handling GT Evoluzione was originally announced at the Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari has just put up a gallery of pics that show off this ridiculously-sexy supercar. The HGTE package brings even more precision and handling to the 599 GTB Fiorano with tweaks like lowered height, rear anti-roll bar, modified magnetorheological suspension and stiffer springs, upgraded electronics, and grippier tires for tighter cornering. Visually there are only subtle differences including 20-inch split-rim wheels, matte black rear diffuser, and leather, black Alcantara and carbon fiber accents on the inside. For most of us, the 599 GTB Fiorano didn’t need much of an upgrade, but it’s sure nice to look at either way. The HGTE package has an upgrade cost of around $42 K. [via AutoBlog]

Sprawling 28,900 Square-Foot Tampa Estate On Sale For $25 Million

THIS HOUSE IS AMAZING........

At just under 29,000 square-feet, this Tampa estate isn’t a home– it’s a palace. With 10 bedrooms and 10 full bathrooms, the Florida residence lives amid 5.9 acres that overlooks a pond and the green links of the neighboring Avila Golf and Country Club. The home’s $25 million price tag nets miles of marble, gobs of imported granite, epic columns and custom carved moldings and mantels throughout the home. Outside, there’s a swimming pool, spa, basketball court and layers of balconies and terraces. Inside, residents can warm next to 14 fireplaces and ride the elevator to the “wine room,” or nap in the 2,200 square-foot master suite. [via realtor]

Timex Expedition WS4: View the Time Widescreen Edition

I WONDER WHETHER I WOULD GET THIS OR NOT.......IT SEEMS LIKE I GOT TOO MUCH GOIN ON. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

For the past decade or so, the widescreen has taken over home entertainment. Whether it be an uber-thin LCD or home projector with a big white wall, everything seems to look a little nicer in widescreen. Testing the scope of the trend, Timex decided to see if widescreen could even make time look better. Indeed, it appears that it has. The Timex Expedition WS4, due for release this May, is a standard multi-function outdoor sports watch with altimeter, barometer, compass, chronograph and thermometer, all displayed on a large widescreen. Wear it around town and let everyone know that you’re a balla that escapes the hassles of everyday life to heli-drop into the Amazon once or twice a month. The widescreen ensures that 4 separate measurements are easy-to-read and crystal-clear. Retail set for $199.

iStick Concept

I HOPE IT IS AS CHEAP AS THE IPOD SHUFFLE?

As if the new iPod Shuffle isn’t tiny enough, designer Alexei Mikhailov has some ideas of his own for the iPod’s future. The appropriately-named iStick folds the aesthetic of the iPhone and iPod Touch into a finger-sized dongle. All four sides of this conceptual gadget are touchable, allowing for plenty of interface tinkering in a tiny package, at the expense of a little carpal tunnel from all the wrist-twisting. The silver cube on the end is a scroll wheel, which would presumably allow for easy volume adjustment without a glance at the interface, but I keep envisioning a USB cover instead. To complete the dream device, the earbuds are wireless — and just like the Shuffle, it would probably cost extra to buy compatible third-party headphones. [via Industrial Design Served]

Solar Concept Tent Provides All the Comforts of Work

IS IT SAD THAT I WOULD RATHER LIVE IN HERE THAT MY OWN HOUSE?

Arguably, the best part about camping is the escape from eye-scorching computer screens and carpal tunnel-inducing keyboards. But hey, Orange knows it’s hard to get away. The company’s Glastonbury Solar Concept Tent uses photovoltaic fabric to charge a flexible LCD screen and wireless Internet, presumably provided by a 3G data subscription. But that’s not all: “Glo-cation” technology allows campers to find their site via SMS messaging or RFID signal, lighting up the shelter like a beacon. Winter campers will delight in a ground sheet that heats automatically when temperatures fall below a certain level. Roughing it, this is not.[via Gizmodo]

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport: World’s Fastest Convertible

WHY DO I NOT FIND SPORT CARS ATRACTIVE?

It’s no secret that the Bugatti Veyron is one of the fastest high-performance supercars on the market… a very exclusive market. The roadster version of this timeless masterpiece pairs unparalleled performance with pure top-down driving ecstasy. Its monstrous engine features 16 cylinders, a combined capacity of eight liters, four valves per cylinder and four turbo units, bringing a total of 1001 horsepower. The seven-gear, twin-clutch gear box provides seamless shifting and acceleration. Reaching its top speed around 253 MPH requires the owner to use a separate top- speed activation key and keep the top up. With the top down, the Grand Sport can reach speeds up to 223 MPH. With a list of materials that may as well have come from a space shuttle–titanium, carbon fiber, magnesium and aluminum–the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport keeps weight minimal helping to obtain its jaw-dropping speed. Merely 150 of these beautiful vehicles are slated for production, so if you’re in the elite class of men that can afford one, you better get on it.[via Jalopnik and Bugatti]
